Snow and Ice Survey / Town Hall

I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather.

As we transition into the spring season, it may seem unusual to revisit winter conditions. However, this is an appropriate time to reflect on and review events and outcomes of the past snow and ice season.

These engagement opportunities outlined in this newsletter are critical as we prepare for the upcoming snow and ice discussion at Council in August, as well as budget deliberations later this November and December. This is an important opportunity to share your perspectives on where the City and improve and how we can better meet community needs regarding our residential snow removal.

Snow and Ice Survey

Over the last several months, my team has been compiling your feedback regarding residential snow removal.

To help inform and prepare for the upcoming discussions at Council, my office has developed a snow and ice survey based on the input received to date. Community insight is essential, particularly in light of the significant challenges experienced this past winter season.

I encourage you to share this survey with your neighbours as broad participation will ensure a more comprehensive understanding of priorities and concerns as we move into these important discussions. This survey is also available to residents outside the Ward.

The survey will remain open until Friday, June 19th. To complete the survey, please click this link: https://www.mikeelliott.ca/snow_and_ice_survey Please note that after the first question, a pop-up may appear indicating that additional questions remain. Simply close the pop-up to continue.

In addition, there is a comment section included at the end of the survey. You are encouraged to provide any additional feedback regarding snow and ice management in this section. As it allows for the most efficient review by my office. Thank you for your participation and engagement.

Snow and Ice Townhall June 29th

Once the survey closes, we will have a combined in-person / virtual town hall meeting and discuss the results of the snow and ice survey.
